A 50' Sea Island, Artemis of Charleston, South Carolina features engine turned 24k yellow gold leaf, red painted outlines with hard block drop shadows.
This vessel was previously painted by the late Robert Milfield, a master painter and true legend in the marine industry. To honor Mr. Milfield's work, it was of utmost importance to replicate the name as close to the original as possible. To accomplish this, Everett Nautical took dozens of photos of the previous name and took precise measurements before the wood was sanded down for scheduled maintenance. The updated name was recreating digitally by tracing the previously painted letters from photos, then painstakingly re-painted in the exact same location to mask over any sunburnt teak wood on the transom.
