An Outer Banks native, Ian grew up surrounded by the water, spending his time surfing, boating, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Ian’s love for the mountains took him out west, where he attended the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Ian worked as a professionally trained photographer and as a lab technician in Montana and California before returning home to work with Everett Nautical.
With Everett Nautical, Ian specializes in hand-painted faux teak and is known for his exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. His ability to recognize subtle variations in tone, grain, and dimension allows him to create remarkably lifelike finishes that elevate every vessel he works on. Ian lives in Nags Head and enjoys spending time with friends and family—and a good bushel of oysters.
